Time for a new .223 bolt rifle

All sage advice, thanks. Like I said earlier, I have lots of other rifles including SPS, VTR and Ar10, all in .308 and all blue steel (which I use except in winter).

Going to the store and ordering Stainless RUGER PREDATOR today!

I am very familiar with their rifle actions/safeties etc. and I really like that green/brown laminate stock. Lets hope she shoots good when she gets here!

Now as for scopes...........

Quote:I hunt with guys who own Tikka's, Rem's, Savage, Winchesters & a few others & they all do their part if the shooter does his part.

Aint that the truth,

I think more depends on who's pulling the trigger, than what brand is attached to that trigger.

Of course that can be applied to stand selection, set-up, and calling technique also.

Unarguably one of the best factory guns on the planet

Get a Remington 5R with the 20" tube, history shows you won't be disappointed, and that most likely, you'll have one of the most accurate guns you've put your hands on.

It's stainless, has an hs precision stock, it's even threaded, should you want a brake for this hard kicking round.

A vote for Tikka here.
I have a couple myself and convinced 3 friends to each buy 1 as well. Great rifles.

My apologies, I didn't catch that you had ordered your new weapon, let us know how she shoots.
