That die is the cats rear end! I adjusted it to touch the seater die and then turned it another half turn farther down as instructed. I didn't think it looked like enough crimp so I turned it maybe another 1/4 to 1/2 way around and it looks like you can barely see the casing rounded in towards the cannalure. I watched inside the crimp die and it looked like it closed the spacers a good 3/4s shut or a little more. Is this good enough for a 35 Rem cartridge loaded in a 336 Marlin? The load book said the max load length was 2.525" but I dropped down to 2.480" so the bullet neck was in the cannalure. I trimmed the casings to minimum 1.910" These should be the correct length to feed properly in my rifle shouldnt they? I'll find out tomorrow at the range.
