To Fox Bang or not to Fox Bang?

I see no reason not to use it. I have however had it go off before when my remote hit against the side of my gun while sitting down. But that was with my old wildfire 2. With my Fusion I have not had it go off with the newer remote.
 
I've actually had it help me when it has gone off accidentally by bumping it into my bipod. Couple funny stories with that. It's way too sensitive at its most sensitive setting on my shockwave. Set it on the ground and it goes off. Mine doesn't work well with my suppressor at medium setting but I just leave it there and when I shoot a yote I just reach over and tap it with my hand to set it off. Works ok for me although it doesn't seem to ever help me clean up a double.
 
Set your "User" button to whatever sound you would use for Foxbang. It is easy to find and select, and you won't have the problem of it going off if you drop your remote.
 
Mine seems to work as advertised, however, I haven't put down many coyotes yet. But it's never gone off unintended on my Shockwave.
 
I have mine on the lowest setting but I keep it in the rear pocket of my elberkestock bino harness while I'm walking so I usually don't have an issue with it bumping into anything. I have shot a coyote before and had the second coyote stop when Foxbang went off but I agree that it doesn't usually happen.

Bingo. Neat feature just wish it worked better with suppressors and was less prone to going off when the remote is accidentally bumped.
 
I used it religiously until I switched callers. On my other caller the remote sleeve kept it from going off accidentally. My new caller is WAY too sensitive, even at the lowest setting. Ironically, at the lowest setting it will not go off with a suppressed rifle.

So mine is off. Too many false foxbangs and not going off when I want it to. I just use a quick select it reach down and set it off when needed.
 
Mine is shut OFF. It goes off accidentally too often when anything bumps the hard plastic remote. In theory it's a great idea, but in the field it doesn't work for me.
 
I use mine. I don't think it's ever "hurt" any stands I've made. I don't know how many coyotes I have killed using it. I've had it go off on accident as well and I've learned to be more careful and not turnon the remote until I am sitting down and ready to go. I say use it.
 
I use it. Think it has helped on multiples on many occasions. It does go off accidentally on me, on occasion, but I don't think that really hurts my chances much. It's a sound I was planning to play if I had just taken a shot, I don't worry about playing it for a few seconds to start a stand once in awhile. Have killed way too many coyotes on those stands to have any concerns about it.
