I have heard a lot of good about these boots. But I have read where the Danner Pronghorns made outside of the USA aren't nearly as well made as the ones made in country. Is this true and can any of you current Pronghorn wearers verify this? If it is where can I find the USA made Pronghorns?

Thanks in advance.

Mine are the China ones. They have been great. Had them for a couple of years of regular use. Two thumbs up from me.
It's a shame they are not still USA made though.

These are my findings too.

I bought a pair Christmas before last at Cabelas because they were on sale, and I had always heard how good they are.

I really like a pull on boot, and NEED a waterproof boot. I tried the Rocky wellington pull ons but they always ended up leaking. I had good luck with the Irish Setter trecker that was a waterproof pull on but they quit making it.

Anyway, I got the pronghorns and they were not waterproof from day one. I have gotten some kind of stuff to put on them to try and make them more waterproof, but I have ended up not wearing them very often.

just bought a pair last week. not so sure i like them yet. they are quite big for a boot that i use for many miles.

i just hope that i can get more than a few months out of them before they leak, and more than one year before they are trashed.

Make sure to clean and treat them regularly. Not much water or snow where I live or hunt. Finally hunted snow after having them for several years and they leaked but I had never cleaned or treated them. But they are something comfortable.

The soles came unglued on my China made Pronghorns, but they were about 5 years old.
The soles have also come unglued on other china made shoes and boots that I have owned. I only buy sewn-on sole boots now.
