To zero at 100yards or 200 yards 22-250?

I load up my info in a ballistic calculator that will show me what yardage each hash on the reticule is. Then i play with the zero until i get it close to some thing like 300 400 500 on the cross hairs with a pretty much point and shot at 200. Or if its a rifle i plan to not have to shoot past a say 300 ill try and zero it so that I am in the kill zone from 0-300 when just aiming center of kill zone.

I zero my 22-250 at 250 yds. 223's and 243's get a 200 yd zero. Just my preference.

did mine 1" at 100yards and dead on out to 400.

Are you saying your gun, when sighted an inch high at 100yd, is completely flat to 400?

I'm sure hoping he ment 400 FEET. Unit's can be a [beeep].

Or maybe he ment the stadia is on afterwards. I read it as it was flat to 400 yards to though.
