The ability of a coyote to see blue never crossed my mind when painting this. I know they have waayyyy better night vision than we do but wonder about their ability to pick out a color in the dark. If I do my job all it will see is a 2 square inch patch of blue on the end of the stock followed by a bright flash!
Deer are really sensitive to blue also. I'd read it had to do with the ability to use moonlight. Imagine looking through a white phospher tube only it's blue.
