Trail Cam & E-Caller - Anyone Ever Use Together?

I have been thinking about putting out my trail camera out with an E-caller to see what comes in to the call at night. I don't have an E-caller and would have to get one. Can I get one that I can set up to let out timed distress calls? If I did this, I was thinking of placing the E-caller under something, in a tree stump or log, or in a box to protect it from the elements. Has anyone here done this? What do you think?

DonovanC,
I have never heard of anyone doing this. I don't think it's a good idea though. If something would come in and realizes nothing is there you just educated a predator. Which mean it will be harder to hunt. If you want pics of predators ask a farmer if he has any dead livestock and place it in front of your camera.

I think this is a awful idea...... yotes and cats arent that hard to see during daylight hours. I could see you plan maybe for cougars or leopard in Arizona. Get out if your house and log some hours in the woods youll see them.

I don't remember whois making them, but a buddy of mine has some electronic "lures" that he uses for live traps. Work great on bobcats. They sound like birds and rodent distress.

There is a item that is designed to leave in the prsence of a trap thta would aid you in what you are asking and wanting to do..

A company named DSE used to make it but another company named...Edge By Expedite bought the rights to the products.. Edge juts ahppens to be a sponsor here at Predator Masters..

Here is a link to the page that lists the products.

I don't feel that either the Screamer or the trap bait will in any way educate a predator..If they do it will be to that sound specifically.

Both are pretty low cost and are weather proof so setting them out in or around the open shouldn't be a problem.....James L.
