Trail Camera Pictures

Well I've personally been addicted to trail cameras ever since they came out. I've recently had the money to purchase one and have had a blast with the results. Its amazing how excited a guy can get over picture of a 60 pound doe! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I took some pretty good pictures with my brothers super-expensive digital camera the other day so I'll share them with you too. As they become available I'd like to see what you guys are coming up with all across the country on your trail cameras... there's got to be some interesting stuff lurking in those backwoods out there!

Great pics. But I have a question for you.How do you go about stopping someone from stealing your camera.I thought about getting one but I was worried someone would snatch it up and I would be out of my hard earned dough?

Penn, I love these cameras, its almost like running a trapline to me. You never know what you're gonna get on that roll until you get em' back from wally world! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I love it. I'd like to have one of the nicer more expensive ones that take digitals but they are pretty expensive. That would save a lot of time on getting them into the computer!

YoteCaller, you've touched on one of the biggest problems I've found with trail cameras. I've got a lot of access to private property that nobody else should be hunting so I often take chances on wide open camera sets. I've had my camera stolen twice! Both times they were returned... I've written my name inside the door with Magic Marker and somehow both times it was taken the bragging culprit noticed my name and had a change of heart. Once it was an old guy I know that cut it down, another time it was a friend of a friend of a cousing of a friend of my brothers! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I've been very fortunate so far but I need to stop being so brave and use some foliage to cover the camera. I would be very leary of setting it on state property or hard hunting private property.

KYTimberman, wow those are some awesome pictures! The big ole buck and them coons is a really nice shot! You know he loves having those extra noses around him! Man that coyote and bobcat are nice too, you got some real neat critters out there in Western Ky! Is all of this on your private property?

Keep em' comin' fellas!

I know a guy who who lost a couple trail cams so this is wat he did. When you turn his on they take a picture every tme. (kinda like a start picture) So he made up a sign that read, My name is .... This is me holding this sign, if anyone but me turns this film in for developing please call the police and myself. He also put his phone number on the sign. He stood in front of the cam and his pal shut the door on it. It took the picture of the guy with his sign. Sure enough it was stolen, He got a call from a local Walmart that a guy brought a roll of film in for developing and he wasn't the guy in the first picture holding the sign! He asked when the guy was to pick up the film and they told him in about an hour! He called the cops and went with them. Boy did that thief get a surprise when he went back to get his film!! The guy got busted and the ower of the trail cam got it back!! thought I would pass that along..

Thats a great Idea, may use it myself... not sure if i trusts the morons at wally world though. We're lucky to get our own pictures back much less any confidentiality or security! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
