Its a Moultrie digital Game spy.....it's not infrared,the sensor basically works off motion and body heat. a critter walks in front of it and trips the camera. this one is kinda slow so its best used with some kind of bait that will hold em still for a bit.
 
I'd agree, the size of the black coyote doesn't look near as big as it did in the first set of pictures. I'd agree it is a coyote, however, I would have bet money on the first set that it was a wolf.

I don't think he was as worried about the noise, as the fact it is illegal to discharge a firearm in the city limits. Just because you can't hear it doesn't make it legal.
