Trigger Question

I just purchased a Daniel Defense M4, and want to upgrade the trigger. My experience with trigers include a few Savages with accutriggers(which I love) and a Rock River that I sold that had the dual stage trigger. Comparing the RR trigger to other stock AR triggers is definately noticable, but I'm curious if I went with a Geissele or a Timney, I would be happier. I will be using the AR for coyotes and at the range working up loads. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is a link to a pretty good, but slightly dated, thread on AR triggers. I'd read it and do some additional research, then make my decision.

You won't regret buying a Geiselle trigger - buy once, cry once kind of thing. They do have quite a selection of triggers, though!

If your looking for a good all around hunting trigger. Buy a Timney 3 lb single stage. No creep, no slop, smooth like butta

BTW Midway, I believe has them on sale right now.

None of the triggers you've mentioned can come anywhere close to the Giessele.!! Never met ANYONE who didn't love it !! Do some research, and you'll find the same.

ETA: I'm referencing the DMR only. No experience with any of the other models.

I have the Timney 3lb in my R15 that I primarily use for coyotes and it is a great trigger. It was the first trigger I replaced in an AR and at that time I really wasn't fond of a two stage trigger. WIth that said, I ordered a DPMS LR 308 a little over a year ago with their upgraded trigger (JP adjustable). I have shot the heck out of this gun and it is fair to say the two stage has grown on me. I recently completed a 6x45 build and put the Geisselle SSA Enhanced in it. Up to this point I thought I would always prefer the single stage for hunting but would have no problem putting that Geisselle SSAE in any hunting rifle.

If you have anyone around you with a JP trigger in an AR for you to feel it would be worth trying.

I really like the JPs and they cost a lot less than many others do. I get excellent groups using them and I run mine hard with no failures at all.

I just installed a JP Trigger and it's awesome. They have two different triggers. The original and EZ Trigger the original has more adjustment. Mine is the original with the speed hammer. Both are easy to install takes a little playing. Mine is around 3lbs. and zero over travel . I have a Timney and it has over travel I could send it back and they will fix it so I'm told. I wanted a trigger I could adjust myself.
