truck gun??

FYI: For those that live in California.
Why envy those that live elsewhere, I also live in California and It is not illigal to carry a rifle in your truck as long as you are otherwise legal to own it.
Just don't have it loaded.
bama_caine_break has the perfect way to carry a rifle in a truck, I use to carry mine in a saddleman seat cover that had a built in sleeve for a rifle.
Also I have been pulled over a few time's and showed the rifle or rifles to the Officers. once an Officer ran a check on the serial numbers then sent me on my way, other times they did not even do that and each time I had the ammo in the cab with me, usually a loaded mag in the console, not near the rifle.
Of coarse the Glock is always loaded but I have a CCW.

I carry a model 700 stainless fluted 22-250 topped with a Vari XIII 8.5X25X50 Leupold. I also always have a springfield XD .40 caliber within arm's reach.

Let think of some reasons. We can still buy AR15's, we can shoot lead, we can buy handguns and take them home that day, We can modify our cars and not have to meet emissions, the handguns we buy don't have to be micro-stamped, We don't have a governer that got famous in shoot-em-up movies only to take away gun rights once elected, It just goes on and on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle with 3x9 Simmons on top of it. Living in Wyoming I can even carry it with one in the chamber it I want, not that I would for safety reasons. My car rifle is a DPMS in 223 with an EO Tech on it and flip up irons. My sport utility rifle is a Bushmaster 223 with an EO Tech on it and an AAC M4-2007 supressor but I can only shoot bad people with this one and not predators as silencers are not allowed in the "game fields or forests" of Wyoming.

Depends on the truck, you talking toyota, ford or freightliner? Freightliner'd be hard to bring down.

Tikka T3 lite, 22-250, 3.5X10 Leupold III

Contender Carbine , Stainless , 22Hornet , Walnut Thumbhole Stock .I have found a single shot is a little quicker to load when your driving around on the farm and there is an offending crow or yote setting in one of your fields .

Jeep Grand Cherokee with 230,000mi. on it and a Remington 700 BDL .243 with a lot more miles than that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif .

60 year old Marlin 336SC in 35 Remington loaded with 200 grain Soft points.(not in the chamber of course)For all of you that live in Commiefornia I know what you are going through as I used to live there myself,It's too bad you have such an A------ for a Governor. He really should of stuck to his lame movies because he sure doesn't know anything about being the Govenator.;-)
