Whatever else you do....GO SEE IT!!

One of the best westerns I've ever seen. Probably like it better than Tombstone...

It's all there. I think the Ceon brothers did John Wayne proud.

The reviews I've seen and read make it seem like the movie I hoped it would be. I'm looking very forward to watching it.

Well, I'm extremely glad to hear that Barry!

When I initially saw that they had made it, I was appalled. HOW do you re-do John Wayne?

They must have worked very hard to get it to stand out.

LOL .......... I just watched the original True Grit on the TV tonight.

Believe me, it can.

It's totally a different animal though.

I have held off seeing it because I have a hard time with remakes. Especially if I liked the original a lot. Which I did it this case. I would think it would be hard to do any better than John Wayne. I may have to see this one.

In my opinion, this movie is not competition for the old one starring the Duke. (Which by the way, True Grit was the ONLY Oscar John Wayne ever won in his career.)

The movies are vastly different, while following the same story line. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I don't make it to the movies very often but I was telling my wife that this one looks like a movie we need to see.

I am still not to thrilled with the guys that made this one after I saw their movie "No Country for Old Men".

Yes! It took 3 months to get it, then I got to drive it one week before the temperature dropped below 40 degrees. So now it is an expensive garage decoration for 5 months.

96% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad at all.

I haven't read the book yet, but my understanding is that the book was quite a bit darker than the original True Grit.

I wasn't real sure about Jeff Bridges playing John Wayne's character, but it sounds like he pulled it off.
