True stories about calling 911

Monday my wife and I were on our way home from the doctor's. I spotted a drunk driver ahead of us and asked my wife to call 911. They put her on hold for 8 minutes! No kidding! They put her on hold. She had to hang up and call them back. I continued following the guy as he swerved all over the road. The guy eventually pulled over, jumped out of his truck and was talking to someone on a cell phone. Finally nearly 20 minutes after the beginning of the first call a Sheriff's vehicle drove by us. The Sheriff's deputy kept on going even though we had given the 911 operator the address of where the guy was parked. In the meantime a car showed up and a man jumped out of it and into the driver's seat of the pick-up. The drunk guy got in the car. One guy took off with the truck while the driver of the car and the drunk guy confronted us for following the drunk guy. All this time the deputy was wandering around I guess? Finally the drunk and his buddy took off and the deputy came by again. The deputy found the truck and stopped the guy. Of course the driver wasn't drunk. The deputy called us back and gave us CRAP! My wife told him that they had switched drivers and he still gave us crap. Next time I hope the drunk hits the deputy head-on. GUNS! No 911!
