I don't see a shotgun forum here, which is kind of surprising, so I hope this is acceptable to be posted here.
I've been using my old 12 gauge Browning Belgium made 3 shot gun for coyotes for several years now. The main problem is two things. It only holds three shots, and secondly it only takes 2 3/4" shells.
So yesterday I bought a new shotgun which is a Stoeger M3000, 12 gauge with a 3" chamber and it will hold 5 rounds. I want to put a better sight on it and was looking at TruGlo's PRO•SERIES MAGNUM GOBBLE•DOT. I really like the fact that it is adjustable for elevation and windage, and the fiber-optic really shows up better than a metal or even painted bead. I have read some reviews on this setup on Amazon and a couple of other places with both pro's and cons. Some say they love it and others say that the fiber-optics are too small to see. One guy said that the mount broke when he tried to tighten it up on his gun, and another fella said that his fell off from the recoil after just a few shots, etc., etc.
I'm just wondering if anyone on here might know anything about this particular sight and maybe even own one. They aren't that expensive, around $50.00, but $50.00 is $50.00 and I don't want to spend money on something that is junk. I think TruGlo has a pretty good reputation in the archery world but not sure about firearms. Well, thanks for any input, I really appreciate the help.
