Tul Ammo

I've never shot the tula but I have had a go with the brown bear ammo and it actually shot pretty good out of my gun and didn't seem overly dirty. With that ammo I wasn't shooting 3/4" groups but 1 1/2"-2" was pretty easy. In my book that is still minute of zombie.

I have tried it and would not chose to shoot it again. Not very accurate. Best groups I could get is about 3" at 100 with 5 shots.

I like Tula ammo it shoots great out of my 1-8 twist. I also run the 62gr hp though. Watch out for the brown bear and other lacquered cases, I've heard some horror stories with hot guns seizing up

I see this at the range all the time. People buy a $1000 AR and buy this cheap ammo. If you can not afford Federal or Lake City military surplus then get a part time job. A lot of Riflemen handload for the AR, this is a good way to save money. When, I see AR’s locked up, it almost always this cheap ammo.

In 2008 when ammo was flying off the shelves, Companies imported this cheap ammo. Now, they are stuck with it. Price drop!

I charge $150 plus parts to clear an AR with a stuck live round. What about that is cheap?

I like the tulla I run it through my open sight rifle or with my red dot. I reload for my scoped rifle. If you wanna spen 300 bucks on 500 rounds feel free, I'll stick to my Tula and shoot twice as much. JMHO

I'll give it a try. I need more practice. I can afford to buy 1000 rounds of hornady if I want but why? Don't need to blow through hornady to practice.

I've shot some out of a 308 and some 223... It's not gonna win any F-class matches but for dirt cheap, I LOVE it. I've never had one not go boom.

On a side note, $150 to clear an AR? WOW! I'm in the wrong profession!

If you are practicing with ammo that is only capable of 3" groups at 100yds, how do you know you are practicing perfectly? There are other in-expensive options out there. Are they $.10 a pound? No, but there is a line that I just won't cross.

On the flip side of that coin, All the Tula I have seen is un-laquered. Maybe I'm behind in the times? I got burned with some soviet ammo once, it won't happen again for me. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
