Turbo Dogg sound issues??

I am trying to update my Turbo Dogg right now and im at the step where where the red light is flashing for 3-5 seconds and the remote is trying to find the speaker (4a). Im haveing issues as the light wont stop blinking and the remote wont find the speaker... Any one of you guys have an idea on what to do?
 
I had a variety of different issues when I updated mine as well. Mine didnt give me any blinks! Try shutting both off and waiting 5 - 10 seconds. Turn the speaker on first then the remote. The istructions advise to keep the two apart approximately 3 ft. I had to put mine together to initiate the process. Good luck!
 
No luck!! Tried separating the speaker and the remote and tried it with them both together. Cant get anything other than a blinking red light on the speaker and the searching for speaker on the remote.
