Hey guys... I want to start hunting turkey but don't know how to hunt them. Do any of you have any good names of videos for begginers that explain how to hunt them. I need a video that shows how to set up and where, and what calls work when, not just watching a turkey come in and shooting it. For example, i don't even know if you hunt them like deer (just sit there and wait) or move around untill you hear one. Any info. would be greatly appriciated... Thanks

Will primos or Knight and Hale make very informative videos, they seem tough but they get easier as you take a couple birds. try it its a blast, I started in 1974 and been hooked ever since.

Hi Chris,
I have a video or two that you may want to find locally (gun shop or public library)"Quaker Boy Inc. "The art of calling wild turkeys" with Dick Kirby. He's pretty amazing...Ben Lee has one labeled The American Outdoorsman, Turkey hunting. I've found videos and books on E-Bay as well. I've been hunting the Toms in Nor-Calif for 10 springs now...the more I read, the more I understand, buy a box call or slate call...then..practice,practice,practice...
Good Hunting!

Just wanted to let yall know that i picked up a Video at Bass Pro by H.S. Strut called So... You Want to Be A turky Hunter. Got all the info i needed. But one question i still have. IS it possible to hunt them by just staying in one place all morning Not knowing if any are around?

cjpred,
It is possible to sit in one spot and wait for birds. Thats what i did, i sat and clucked every 15 mins, and just waited. It takes a little luck, but it can be done, especially if you know where the birds like to travel.
Good luck.
Nigel-
