two hogs (pics and story)

Had a chance while in good ol' Texas to take a wild (Feral) hog. Ron Graham and I were hunting together throughout the day when Wayne and Damon spotted a bunch of hogs. There had to be at least 35 in this one group that we stalked........ Ron and I stalked to approximately 70-80 yards and did the 1-2-3 count..... KA-BOOM, KA-BOOM!! My 100gr. bullet from my .243 struck right behind the shoulder and dropped the hog instantly. Ron's first shot didn't connect (brush in the way) but he made good when the group of hogs started running towards us....... he dropped the hog at less than 35 yards on the run!!

The other group of hunters did alot more damage to the hog population (7-10 more I believe) and they had fun also. They should have some pics up real soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hopefully when I come back in the fall I can hunt with you..... and you can "approve" all of the critters getting blasted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
