TX1000 remote

Has anybody had any issues with thier TX1000 Foxpro remote. Specifically the battery status bar. I bought a new X-24 e-call. when it came I put in fully charged batteries (Tenergy brand). The status bar showed below half. I bought new batteries, charged them and it still showed below half and I got the warning notice on the remote to change the batteries. I called Foxpro and they were great, they sent me a new remote. Im having the same issue with the new one. I tried a different brand of batteries still no change. I took the batteries out of the new remote and put them in one of my older TX1000 remotes, status bar on that one show 3/4 full. Now Im really confused.
Any help would be great

I have never had the problem that you are getting. I do know that they recommend lithium or alkaline batteries. Possibly the rechargeable batteries that you’re using do not obtain the same voltage as regular AA’s? I use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in my remotes and literally get a full season or close out of them.

I use Tenergy batteries in my caller and standard lithium or alkaline batteries in my TX1000 remote. No issues. Energizer lithium batterie last a really long time in my remote. I believe Foxpro recommends lithium batteries for the TX1000 remote. Standard AAs are 1.5 volts and rechargeables are 1.2 volts. So 3 rechargables will be lower voltage than 3 of the recomended standard lithium AA batteries. If the remote expects 4.5 volts ( 3 standard AAs) for a full charge and you give it 3.6 volts (3 rechargable AAs) it will probably not show a full charge. The charge indicator probably reads in 1/4 increments. So .9 volts low will probably show up as 3/4 full. Try using the recomended lithium AAs and see what happens.

Hey Muskie, I am a tightwad and just use coppertops in everything that says to use lithium for best results. In PA we don't get the temps you get but we aren't Southerners either;). My remotes (TX1000 when I ran FP and now ICOTEC) will run from Aug to Jan. /Feb. on a set and I hunt 3-4 nights a week most of the time in the winter.

One thing I pay attention to with the Lithium batteries in my remotes is that battery level indicator. Lithium batteries give their all and just die without warning! If you run any lithium powered tools you know what I mean. They don't slow down before dying... They just stop working.

They will last for a long time, even in cold temps. but if you see the indicator starting to drop, be proactive and replace them before pushing things too far.
