U.S. Optics anybody useing one?

I use to run a 3.8-22*50. I had to send it back since there was fibers on the inside the scope. At high power you couldn't seen it, but soon as you cranked it down you could see it all over the ret. Also, the illumination knob was so loose, when you shot with it on, it would turn on/off.

I sold that POS and bought a NF.

Played with a handful of different USO's at the ranges and they don't do anything for me.

Used it on my .308 and a .223ai for a short time.

Iv got a 3.2x17x44 Tpal and love it one of the clearest scopes Iv used. Like the low profile. They are heavy though.
Im shooting it on a 6x284 pistol.

My son put one on his Noveske AR. I only shot it at the range a couple of times but I was very impressed by the clarity and the flatness of the field of view. YMMV.

I went through the dilema a few years back on whether to go S&B, Nightforce or USO. I had seen too much bad press on USO to pay that kind of money for a premium scope. I ended up going S&B 5-25x56. I haven't regretted it. I also have a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 on my .223AI and it's a decent scope for the money. The one thing that really made me consider the USO was the reticle options available...Best selection bar none.

Lastly, had I to do it today, I would seriously consider a Premier Heritage.

Yeah, I know Premier Heritage is coming out with a Hunter
and a Light Tactical some time this summer. Think I mite
waite.

Just thought about usen it for target and varmint.
[beeep] to tell you the truth, I just was wanting a USO to
see how it ran on a 700 LTR .223 just to see if it was
all that. They are not a bad price for what you can have on them. and I see some come up for sale on another forum.

When or IF you buy one, new or used, be sure it has the reticle that you want in it. When I bought my USO, it just had standard mildot. I wanted to change the mildot out for something else till I found out how much USO wanted...

$400 PLUS whatever the reticle cost.

good idea...

I've been shooting with them for over 15 years. S&B and Premier are as
good but not quite as tough. Only wish I could afford one for every gun I
own. I run the 1.8-10x44 T-Pal on my AR and it's the perfect scope for
the gun. Mines IPHY/IPHY. My other is a 3.8-22x60. But at least now you
can get ffp in a nightforce, next they'll need to upgrade their glass.
