ultralight AR upper receiver assembly?

Looking to build a really light weight AR calling rifle. Want it to have flat top upper with picatiny gas block for fold down front sight. Would like it to have the old style (read A1) slim contour barrel. Talked to Bushmaster today about their ultralight 16" upper but said they cannot put the picatiny gas block on it just on their heavy barrels. Dont want to go carbon. You could switch out the Bushy gas-block after you get it. I have used after-market picatiny gas-blocks for the .750 contour barrel.
 
buy a oly barrel from brownells and the pica gas block and then send the barrel to tromix and have them a1 profile it. i love the carbon uppers i've got 4 right now.
 
I just built a J&T AR kit with a pre-ban 16" lightweight barrel/flat top upper on it. It's got the "standard" front sight on it, but they do offer options as far as gas blocks. Perhaps you can call them and see what's available with the lightweight barrel. They seem to be able to build pretty much whatever you might want. MI VHNTR
