Went out late yesterday afternoon to scout some new property and met up with the property owner's son. He said he had just seen some hogs down the road on the south side so I headed that way. I stopped about 200 yards short of where they were supposed to be and walked the tree line slowly and as quiet as possible. Found a small sounder of around 10-12 and picked this sow out as she appeared to be solid white. Ruger mini-14 sent the Hornady V-Max 55 gr. to the designated location and she was down. The rest of the sounder exited stage left post haste except for 3 very small piglets. Made my approach to get a picture and this is what I found. She was not equipped to feed any more than the 3.
