UniqueFire UF-T20 Light...any good?

Ive searched and found old info on this light, but nothing recent. Is this still a good light, or are there newer and better models now?

I'm specifically looking for inexpensive scan and gun mounted lights. I won't be spending $200 + on a scan/kill light combo.

Thanks!

T20 is just the host. It depends on the LED and how hard it's driven. Some are good others are lemons. Any light out there can have numerous different components depending on who makes them.

Thanks pmack. I am referring to the one made by UniqueFire. I accidentally put "ultrafire" in the title, I will edit that.

Last one I bought had a 1 amp driver with an older LED. If you can do some minor soldering you can change out the LED and driver and make it awesome.

If you just want a cheap red light with no work on your part, the Brinyte B158 is a better bet.

Thanks! Thats exactly what I am looking for. Would this Brinyte be considered a scanning light or a gun mounted light?

What said . ..." all depends on who puts them together ".
I bought this newer model (unique fire)IR just to checkout out and put the unit up against other units I own . I was not going to make this unit in anyway my hunting go-to IR supplement .

Brand of: ( Unique Fire ).. uf T20 . Some last and some go down .
Con: . that chicom model (unique fire) put together lasted me about one month till the electronics had malfunctioning glitch . No customer service . It cheep disposable IR power . When goes down, you just throw in trash can and order another from china .
Pro: . It has the power and throws out a good adjustable beam farther than any normal night hunter ever shoots . . Does not cost 200-$
.

I bought a unique fire a year or so ago. Honestly for the price it's been a pretty decent light for me. It's starting to go downhill, not sure if it's the cheap batteries or the cheap light. But if I get two seasons out of it I'll be a happy camper
