Didn't mean to steal your title.

I was just sitting here reading PM when I hear the neighborhood dogs going nuts out side. I said to the wife, does that sould like the coyotes are out side howling? Sure enough, and close. I tuned off the front porch light, grabbed my light force from the back room and pulled the foxpro out from the truck. Now mind you, I am standing on the running boards of my truck, in my front yard. I turn on a little lightning jack and with in minutes i have eyes. Mind you, I don't live out in the sticks, but not right in the center of town either. I turn the volume down and hold the light high and they (2) walk right up to the edge of the road across the street from my house. At this point , They are about 40 feet away. I turn the sound down a little more and hold the light a little higher and I'll be damned if that sucker just couldn't resist. It crossed the road and walked right into my yard and stood in my drive. I don't have a huge yard . It is maybe 30 ft from the front of my house to my fence. This coyote was no more than 15-20 ft from me and my truck. I lip squeeked to see if it would come closer, but that spooked it and it went back across the street. I sat and played with them for a few more minutes untill my sister inlaws mooching mother in law came over telling me to knock it off that the noizes were making her sick. WAAAAAAA!
That was so freakin cool!

WOW CS!!!!

I wish that could happen to me. I would be mighty tempted for a urban bow kill. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Looks like you don't need to go to far before you can start calling.

Help yourself, Lance. lol
After dusk tonite loudly broadcast a series of yip howls and see how long it takes for your resident coyotes to assemble around your home and declare territory or at least announce their presence. It will be very cool. I promise.lol
Their response will be influenced by many factors so it may take awhile but you will be hearing from them tonite.

And he might get the coyotes too. I hear that there is a bag limit of 1 mother in law in the state of Nevada.

Sorry Jeff, not my mother inlaw. This is my sister inlaws Mother inlaw.

The wife told me today that the coyotes woke her up at 3 am last night . She said it sounded like they were killing something. I said why the hell didn't you wake me up?

Hey Crapshoot, do you need me to drop off my "CROSSBOW" for ya? You know that won't wake up the neighbors, and if by chance you did not connect we could pick up the bolt in the field the next day. LOL! Good story....JOHN
