Well guys we finally got some good snow, the temps were down as well as the winds. We got to hunt 3 or 4 stands each day from Friday to Monday, and the hunten was good. I have some pictures of two dogs from last Monday and then four from this hunt but the camera isn't leting me upload them to my computer, I think it is the wrong cable, I will post them when I get if figured out.

Friday: We got out around 7 or 8 in the evening, we made our 1 st stand with nothing on the rabbit distress. Our second stand was better, we were hunting some round bails in a wheat field, I sat the JS off to my left and started in on the coyote pup dist.....two minutes later the dogs had made us before we made them, the busted barks were flyen'...we were had /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif We decided on one more for the night....we sat up at a new spot, another wheat field surrounded by deep woods. About 10 minutes into the coyote pup ( again ) a single came start at us in to the wind. I thought for sure the game was over, nope, Matt busted him with his .223 wheatherby at about 150 yards. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Saturday was about the same, nothing the first couple of stands, got busted by about 4 differant dogs and on the last stand, back to the last stand as the night before, a pair came at us right into the wind again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif, don't ask me why theykeep doing that but again they came all the way into thier death, Matt killed his on his second shot as it ran away, his bullet found the rear of the dog right in the ole' brown eye, if you follow what I mean. The old male did a couple of cartwheels from the pain from his newly found hemroids, I got a nice pic of the entry wound, I think that had to hurt!

Sunday was a wash out due to a family get togehter so we ended up not hunting.

Monday was the most unlucky day I have had in a while, we had some fun at the range in the morning, until......I made some practice shots off the bi-pod, as I was folding them up the mount broke sending my rifle down hard on the scope /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif. Gander Mountain was kind enough to replace it, and away we went ( note that some idiot didn't think of checking his zero due to his anger ). We made a stand and called a double, Matt killed his but remember the scope....thats right I shot 2 feet off to the right /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif Idiot /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif. By time I got sighted in again it was time for the school x-mas program and ended a fine weekend, all in all we had a blast, seen a lot of dog and had a great time hunting with the Frakes', They sure are good hunten buddies. Ask coyote_sniper73 why he wasn't hunten, deer season /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif..did you get one sniper or should you have gone with the boys? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Sounds like a good time for sure. Hoping to see the photos, soon. Remember to sight-in your rifle before the next trip. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wondered when I would see ya post on weas /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif, I used a lot of sounds this weekend, but it seems they are responding to the tape you sent the best, did you bless that thing or what /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif?

Yeah we had a blast, the snow was on and the sky was given us perfect light, gotta love it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Sighted the rifle in, went looking for the 52 gr v-max that black hills puts out, ran out. They didn't have them so I got the 52 gr match hp's and I think I like them a lot better out of my rifle, tight, tight groups /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
