the swifts are alot rarer than most but what i paid i thought was right on the money then i watched that one sell and i was curious to what people thought. the guys that said 650 and 750 you cant hardly buy a barreled action for any caliber in a sako let alone a swift.
I bought Several Sako's in that range, over the last few years. I have an AII in 243, and 3, L579's, a 7mm-08, a 308, and a 243 that were all around $500-$650. I did pay more for a 222Mag, a couple A1's, a 75, and a L61R, some of those came with scopes
.
Guess I got some really good deals.
I just cruised GunBroker, and prices have gone up.
Funny thing, I just had a guy PM me the other day, out of the blue about my Sako75 in 17 Rem. I didn't have it for sale, It does have nice wood, and is very accurate. But he got me thinking.

Are 220 Swifts pretty rare/collectable? School me.
I would like to know why also. Maybe the Swifts are rare. Best I can tell, somebody WAY overpaid for that rifle. I have seen Foresters go for $900 brand new in the box. Usually about $1100 max in mint condition........
Not a heavy barrel, but nobody bought it at $895. A heavy barrel model may bring a tad more than the $750 I mentioned earlier, but I still do not think one is worth over $900 in 95% condition. Unless someone knows something that I don't, which is entirely possible.........
