I was merely using it as an example. That is about the price that I see these rifles sell at. However, I do not recall seeing a 220 Swift, so maybe it is rare, and even more rare with a heavy barrel.

Just last saturday I saw a pre-Garcia Forrester in 243 at a gun show for $750 in about 95%. They also had a Vixen in 222 Rem MAG with a Redfield on it. Guy would have probably taken $1200 for it. My bud offered him a grand and he turned it down. I told him to buy it for $1200. After we got home, looked it up on the net, and he was sorry he didn't take my advice.

I have a blue book that is probably 10 yrs old now. It makes no mention of any certain chamberings being worth more money. Or heavy barrels, for that matter. Just says the pre-Garcias are worth more.

I'm really not sure, to tell you the truth, what the deal is. I just know that I have never seen nor heard of a Garcia Forrester selling for that kind of money........
