Varmint Loads for 257 weatherby?

As soon as I went over 68 grains of RL22 in mine I started getting flyers, but it was still zipping through the chrony at 3400 and shot about half inch groups.
 
Just out of curiosity have you shot it at 100yards with factory ammo? If it doesnt shoot under an inch then I would be calling someone. I have the first series of the sub-moa with the B&C stock. With factory ammo it would shoot .75 all day. One thing to remember is that most 257WBM came with a 26" barrel, I dont know why they put 24"s on the vangaurds but they seem to take a little less powder. I had a remington 700 cdl with a 26" tube and it would handle more powder and shoot alot faster.

I didn't bother shooting the factory ammo, I was hoping to get something worked out with my hand loads. My groups yesterday were at 3/4" moa for the 85's and 7/8 moa for the 100's. I am content with the results for now. I am eager to develope my scope settings for longer ranges, but I am ready to field test it on some varmints.
 
Finally, I found a winning varmint load for my 257 Weatherby (Vanguard). I tried some 7828 today and it really shined.

My load:
73gr of IMR 7828 (Near max in my rifle, reduce load before trying in your rifle.)
100gr Nosler Ballistic Tip
GM215M Primers.
3.200" C.O.L.

The best part is my 24" pipe was averaging 3580 fps for the 6 rounds fired today. With the Chrony at 10' it calculated to be truly 3600+ at the muzzle. Speed and accuracy from the same setup makes me smile.

I am so excited, below is my 3 shot group (5+ minutes between shots) from 126yds. The masking tape is the point of aim. I fired another group after I adjusted the windage and elevation. It was slighty larger than the group below, but I only let the barrel cool a minute or two between shots.
