I brought a Barska off ebay to give it a try. Got a 6x24x44 for $20. It is not a Nikon by a long shot but so far it has served well. I have it on a Savage 204 and it has held zero and proved to be accurate out to 300 yards. I can't complain about it but I get a feeling you will get what you pay for with the Barska.
The picture quailty and light transfer are where they falter. If I was going to look to a Barska I would go wiht a Bushnell Banner first. Not much more money and I have several of them and they work great with more than acceptable sight picture and light transmission.
