vortex custom turret

Just bought a vortex viper 6.5-20x44 and curious if anyone has used their custom turret for it? I was thinking about a kenton turret but after i bought my vortex i noticed on Kenton's website that they dont offer the turret for the vipers.

I have the PST and the standard turrets are great. What caliber where you thinking about. I talked to them a little bit about making a custom turret for the grendel, but I'm still in load development phase.

I have a Viper 4x12 with a custom turret but haven't had the chance to see if it's really on at long range.

This will be going on my 25wssm AR. Will be my main coyote gun and would like to try some long range shooting with it.

Thing to remember about a custom turret is that you'll need to be shooting the same load everytime, so if you ever change, it may not still match up.

I understand that. If i ever change, which i wont unless i go to a 75 gr vmax, i can just use tape until i go back to the load. Is the only data i need to give vortex fps, bc, and grn of bullet to get their turret?

I used to be in love with the idea of a custom turret...before I started shooting a lot.

Sure, even if you keep the same load, what about environmental factors? Even if your MV doesn't change from 0°F to 100°F, air density sure does. Here in Michigan, where its FLAT, density altitude may be as great as 5000ft in the summef and as low as -2000 in the summer. At 3500ft, my 308 needs 11.75 moa at 600 yards, and at -1000ft, I need 13.5!

Can you say "holdover"? How about "miss"?
