so what you guys think of this scope? I just traded my Luepold 3.5-10x40 VXIII for it, going too put it on my .270 for long range shooting, gots the T-dot reticle, so i'm hoping I will be shooting prairie dogs in June out at 800 yards with it...

Your going to need more than good optics to hit prairie dogs at 800 yards. (Your kidding, right?) A .270 Win for prairie dogs is a bit of overkill.

I use 6.5-20X50 and a 6-24X50 on my P-Dog shooters and its rare I take a shot over 250 yards.

I use a 4-16x on my .204 AR and just installed a 4.5-14x, with a Varmint Hunter reticle, on my CZ .204 that is supposed to be good for 600 yards, for a shoot coming up...as mirage gets pretty bad at times when you get over 18x where we go..

That being said, I also have an 8-32x on each of my Rem 700 (.223) and my Walther (.22lr), but don't expect to be using them on full power very often...

I very seldom make many attempts past 400 yards, unless I have a really good spotter working with me..as the wind/breeze usually costs me too many extra shots...

well this is my deer gun, just wanted too do some practice shot's that far, I have a 22-250 barrel that i'm bringing with for lots of shooting type stuff, just wanted too wing 10-15 rounds out there at 700-800 yards and see if I can hit anything, my g-pa has a range set up out too 1000 yards at the farm so I will sight it in there and take a few pot shot's at some prairie dogs when we go out.....
