Wal-mart carries reloading components/equipment?!

My fiance and I went to Walmart to stock up on a few groceries.
I wanted to swing by the hunting department and grab a box of pistol ammo since we were at the store and that's when I noticed it!

There was RCBS components, CCI primers, Hornady bullets. They had a decent selection of components for the most common pistol and rifle calibers. I also noticed a Rock Chucker press, Rock Chucker starter kit, even a few pounds of powder. I had not noticed any of this before. The counter guy said they have had it "A month or two".

I had noticed AR's behind the counter there a little while back, I wonder how far they will expand on this type of thing?

WalMart round here has had reloading components for quite a while. Im not a huge fan of Walmart as a whole, but it's nice that they carry some stuff I need.

I thought I read on here or somewhere, where some of the stores were stocking bags of lead shot.
Have any of you guys noticed any shot in your stores?

Many of the wallys worlds have been stocking reloading equipment for 20+ yrs. Not bad when you have to make a fast run locally for something you ran out of.

Yip, they didn't have it in the Lincoln stores when I lived there, but out here in the good end of the state Scottsbluff Walmart has a fair amount of stuff. Sidney's does not, probably because Cabela's is across the street.

Ours has had reloading supplies for quite a while in Harrisonburg VA. This was the reasoning behind me using IMR 4064, Varget, and Nosler 70gr. Ballistic tips originally in my 243win. Walmart carried them all and the MTM boxes and winchester brass. Nothing like getting the gas tank filled, reloading supplies, a WII game, loaf of bread, rack of ribs, case of beer, tube socks, can of Krylon, and the wifes smell goods in one stop

I really hope they don't get into it, at least in my area. The local gunshops don't need to have to compete against the mega stores on reloading supplies to.

I can see if you live where there are no local suppliers that you would welcome it.

they don't sell any reloading stuff here on the eastern shore of Maryland, wish they did. we have a new walmart opening this year in Denton MD. hopefully they will stock some reloading components.

They don't carry it around here, but in my travels in the west I see it frequently.
The local shop doesn't even try to be "competitive", I wish WalMart carried it here. The way it is now I can order online, pay postage and still come out cheaper than the local shop BEFORE taxes on anything not requiring hazmat. At $32 a pound for powder I can even pay hazmat if I'm getting several pounds and still be better off.

Nor here either.

Ditto here. Would be nice if they did but a Sportsman's Warehouse is opening here in March.
