But like i said i'm just getten into this new world of the wssm so let the info flow . God bless .

Nice deer, both of them. Good report on the TSX as well.

I read one story sometime back about a guy that shot a pronghorn with the 6-06 and the Barnes TSX. I believe it was shortly after they came out with it.

If memory serves me it was close to 500yds, and the thing took about two steps and dropped.

i don't know much about this bullet... i would love to try them, just the price is the only thing keeping me from doing that =/ but i hear they are are one the best bullets on the market

Their performance on deer sized game is great in my experience. Until Nosler makes a .243 Accubond, (and maybe even after it hits the market) I'd agree they are the best big game bullet I've found for the .243. I've killed a dozen deer with the .243. Some with 80 grain coreloks, some with 100 grain coreloks, some with 95 grain partitions and some with 100 grain partitions. Maybe I'm biased because I've killed my two biggest deer ever with the tsx, but they have performed flawlessly to date - and at long range to boot!

Thanks ackleyman and Killertraylor for the Barnes 85 gr TSX information. I would also like to thank everyone that gave me information about California.

Quit complaining. I live in Wisconsin. We have the nuts in the Peoples Republik of Madison running the show that make Berkeley look conservative sometimes. We have the 6th highest tax burden in the country. We have snow and cold and tornados and mosquitos and crooked elections statewide thanks to the cheatin' Democrats. We are one of only two states in the country that doesn't have some form of concealed carry, (Illinois being the other). But we have 1.5 million deer, coyotes runnin' all over the place, turkeys, grouse, squirrels, pheasant, and 650,000 hunters. I get to own as many AR's, AK's and handguns as I want with no restriction on how many rounds the mag holds. Plus we still get to use lead bullets, although I have to say that I prefer Barnes TSX for most of my guns these days.

I'm waiting for my Barnes manual, too. In the meantime, the guys at Barnes have been very helpful.

Fast Ed
