Not real sure where to post this so I'll try here. I'm looking for some good clear Magpie vocalizations. Will pay for some or would like info. on where I might find some. Thanks guys, Larry

Do you want any Magpie sounds or a particular type of Magpie sound? I have 7 different vocalizations of Magpie, none are distress, but some can probably be edited to make some decent calls with...

Robert, I'd be most interested in gathering-feeding-excited sounds of magpies or ravens to use as "ambience sounds" on stand.

I use the Johnny Stewart crow sounds for that now. But magpies or ravens would be more realistic for my area.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to find some good predator fighting over food type sounds too. Coyotes or coons would be good.

I'm just starting to get into the MP3 caller and aquiring digital sounds. I've bought the Critr-call CD's and a couple Johnny Stewart CD's. But haven't found a digital source for a lot of the sounds I'd like to have.

Robert, I'd definitly be interested in purchasing the magpie sounds that you have. I tried sending you an e=mail but I'm not sure it went through. If you didn't recieve the e-mail, let me know and I'll try again. Larry

Robert, I had computer problems the last 3 days and lost all the e-mails that we're coming in. If you tried e-mailing me recently concerning the magpie sounds I didn't get them. Please try again, I'd sure like to get those magpies. Thanks, Larry

Not much. I found some site in Europe that has a library of bird sounds. Tons of them. I thought there HAD to be some good ones with so many listed. But out of all of them, I only ended up with a few seconds of Raven that has too much background noise, and a few seconds of Magpie that does sound good, but it's only a few seconds.

I have used these sounds on stands that have produced though.

Still would like to find more and better magpie and raven. Coyotes fighting too.

Are you interested in magpie sounds to hunt them? If so, you might try this. I was hunting red fox last night and used a jack in distress at my first stand. Nothing. As I was moving to the next stand, I noticed some deer dropings. I poped in the JS fawn in distress tape. The second I started calling, about 30-40 magpies started sqawking and making tons of noise and flew right over to me. They all stoped in the tree over my caller and made a ton of noise for about 15 minutes. I also called in two foxes.
