Wanting a better powder dispenser

I am using the RCBS powder dispenser that I bought about 12 years ago, I have a RCBS chargemaster combo but it is kind of time consuming. Is there any that y'all have good luck with? My RCBS does pretty good with fine powders but with stick powders it is horrible and not being 2 tents off, I mean by dropping half and the other half getting stuck. I just didn't know if investing in a better dispenser would help with this or not.

have you done any of the quick mods to your chargemaster?

there's a programming adjustment that can be done to help speed up / smooth out the process. Call customer support, they'll walk you through the programming in just a few mins.

i beleive there's also a couple youtube videos out there as well

the other thing to do to smooth out the CM is to do the mcdonald's straw mod.

here's a writeup with lots of pics i did on mine a couple years ago

Yes I did do the straw method and it helped now if it over throws it's only by a tenth. Which IMO I can't out shoot a tenth of powder

I remember when I went looking for better. It cost me.

I sped my chargemaster up and it goes plenty fast for me..other than utube,I think there mite be some instructions on Accurate Shooter site too?

220 Swift, if you really want madness, use a Lee dipper to get you within 2.0g of your finished load, will take less than a 15 seconds to get your charge.

however, the folks at RCBS are awesome on the phone and can walk you through it easy peasy. and if you happen to goof something up, you've got a knowledgeable tech support person at your ear

I don't mind the time it takes, just irritating that it throws over just about every charge, I will say that after the McDonald's straw mod it only throws over .1 or .2 grains but it use to throw off .4 and .5 grains when using certain powders. It seems when it trickles it is very "jerky?" I did call rcbs and they said I would need to send it back and they would either fix it or send me a new one, but at the time I called he said it would be 5 or 6 weeks. I just don't want to part with it for that long

Thanks but I am good where I am at. It moves real fast now that I have three going at once.

Send it in, buy another for the mean time. When it comes back, now you have 2 going at once.
