I'm watching out for a used sako in .222 thru .243... maybe even up to .270. What are the best models to look out for? I want light weight sporter that will be worth building down the road. Ever since I shot my uncles sako vixen in .222 I've always wanted a sako.

I'm also looking out for annie in .22mag, maybe .22lr... wish they still imported the sako quad...

I just found a Sako Vixen in 222 rem, with a leupold scope on it in excellent condition, paid $900 for it at my local Gun shop, couldn't believe it when I saw it sitting there..

Waiting on my ammo to get here so I can test her out...I got very lucky!!

Thank you, why do we have to talk in code?

Because I can never remember to to spell anshutz. Its a common term for people that are really into rimfire. Sort of like people often refer to leupold as leupy.

I have a Anschutz 54 sporter that after my death I will come back and haunt my children if they ever sell it.
Get you one you'll never regret it!

I have a 64 annie and it shoots great. Was looking for 54 but just could not find one in my price range. The 64 fell into my lap and at a great price. Never owned a Sako.

I have Sakos in 22LR, 17 Rem (with the barrel shot out if that tells you how much I liked that gun), 222 Rem, 7 Mag and a Browning Safari in 243 that was built on a Sako action. All of them shoot very well but I had to work on the 7 Mag to get it to shoot a bullet that I wanted to use. I also had a 223 heavy barrel that I sold and have kicked myself for ever since. I like Sakos but all of mine are at least 20 years old.
