Water Varmits?

Anyone ever shoot any water varmits, carp, gar, or catfish with a bow?

I am a avid bowfisherman and was just wondering if there were any others that hang out here in the winter months.

If anyone is ever down in this part of the world and wants to give it a try, just give me a shout.

One of my favorite spring/summer pastimes. My Philippino fiancee' eats 'em. She loves to go with me. Took some nice ones last year in a mtn. lake west of Colo. Spgs. I used to take the fish to the local zoo or raptor center to feed the birds. I used to not like doin' it as much until i found a use for them. By the by, what're you guys using for points. I was using the Muzzy-- but i lost a lot of fish with it. Since then i've switched to a Gene Davis point (4 prongs), but i haven't tried it yet.

Hey DrScott-- how can i find out who Colorado's rep. is?? I do some freelance writing, and am interested in contacting him about an article.

Its good to see some fellow bowfishers on here. Scott I am the Points Chairman and SC rep for the BAA. Any chance you will be in Nashville for the spring meeting at the end of the month? I know another guy that posts on here by the name of boatman, he is a bowfisher too.

SSCoyote go to the BAA website and on the homepage is Mark Ellenburgs name and number. Give him a call, he is always looking for good articles to put in the journal.

Me and my buddy love to bowfish. Shot a couple of good gar (4 1/2 ft) at grand lake. In winter time the water is usally really clear. I am getting the itch to go again.

I love to bowfish! Dont get much time to go anymore but when I do wahoo the fun! I would like to get out an bowfish more this year though!

I haven't been bowfishing in 4 years and I sure miss it. I will make a "point" to go this spring.
Disposal of the fish is my only problem since I don't garden anymore.

I love to get out and shoot a few carp when I get the chance. We haven't had many opportunities lately, this was our last time out and it sure was fun!
