WAVE ATRIS 650 V2 LRF

Back at the 'dark side' for a bit I see. You seem to be working the action quicker than before if still using the Savage, get the issue figured out?

Yes, it does. I can’t get RAV to work, so I’m going to try updating the firmware. I really need RAV. When I shoot multiple coyotes at distance and can’t remember exactly where each one dropped, I go back and review the RAV clips one by one—lining the crosshairs up with where it fell, then turning on the laser to retrieve it. With one long video, I can’t do that, and I can’t fast-forward or rewind in the field either.

It cycles about 95% of the time. I still catch video of it jamming now and then—usually along with me cussing the rifle while it’s recording. And of course, it always seems to happen when coyotes are standing right in front of me.

How do you look for and do firmware updates? I couldn't find anything on their site. I emailed them but they never responded.

I can honestly say that I have never had this problem! I mean I’ve had RAV glitch out on me once or twice. This problem of multiples and forgetting where they are… Not so much! 🤣

What do you think about the optic otherwise? I never even heard of it until you posted this.

They told me to download the app and handle it through there. The guy who sent it wants feedback and suggested updating the firmware to see if that fixes it.

I stopped at Taco Bell to order a cheesy chicken and rice burrito. The kid at the counter asked if I’d downloaded the app and ordered through that. I’m like—no, man. I want a burrito, not more crap on my phone.

You can manually connect the optic to a Mac and transfer files with a cord. That’s when I realized none of the RAV coyotes were recorded.

This is the first optic I’ve used that lets you switch between FFP and SFP. I don’t use mil-dots, so it’s nice having an optic where you can keep the crosshairs small.

Thank you! Going through the app worked. There was a ballistic update available.
