I don't know about you, but a large part of my enjoyment is just getting out and making the effort ... and being with a friend. Just find a place where you can hunt close to the vehicle and ALWAYS take someone with you. Sorry for your misfortune.
Like Hidalgo says, make it easy on yourself, hunt close to your vehicle if possible. I have had some coyotes show up while calling from a vehicle. I had my knee done a couple of years back, and during the down time, that is what I did. Good luck with the ankle!

Just make certain of the game laws in your state. In a lot of states it is illegal to shoot from the vehicle.
I had a foot reconstruction in May. Tendon repair and so on. By October, I will be 50 percent. I will be using crutches to assist as I don't want to put excessive weight on it or walk down hill far. Camo tape for crutches, and take it slow. Use my atv as much as possible.
I find that when calling coyotes on crutches each stand takes much longer. Regular stands may only take 20-40 minutes but calling coyotes on crutches just seems to take forever. Figure 60-90 minutes per stand. Be patient and give them time. The crutches really slow them down and sometimes even get hung up in the brush. If that happens you can usually walk right up to them and beat them with one of their crutches. The worst stands are when a coyote comes in on one crutch. This takes twice as long as a 2 crutch coyote. Occasionally the one crutch coyotes will just go in a circle until the get the hang of it.
YMMV
Sorry I had to. He has 11 posts now so I figured it was ok. Chula was premature though I agree with you there.
Take only what will fit in a backpack. Hand calls only so you don't have to hobble to place an e-caller. Fashion a coyote drag. You can economize space and effort by using crutches as shooting rests/sticks. Cross the and put the weapon though both resting on the hand grips. Consider a handgun if you have one that is suitable.

Yeah ... but YOURS was a little more entertaining. You actually made me laugh out loud! And I'm sure he got a kick out of it too.

Have you had any luck calling any in a wheel chair?
