Once while deer hunting, I was caught in a blizzard and was focused on getting off the mountain. As I was climbing a drifted in saddle and spinning tires, trying to not power out, to my right about 5 yards away a jack rabbit with a coyote chasing a few feet behind it passed the truck, crossed the road in front of me, and turned downhill passing again on the left only a few feet from the truck. This coyote never once took his attention off of the rabbit.
One time I walked into a stand, sat down, set up the rifle, and reached for one of my calls when a coyote came running in as if he had been called in. I sat quietly until he was at 80 yards, barked, and shot him. If only I could figure out how to do that more often.
