I went calling and got eaten alive by mosquitos and big flys on my first set. After about 25 minutes of standing there in a cloud of bugs biting my ears, forehead, and around my eyes I stopped the caller and walked back to the truck.
Pretty close to the truck I saw a bear out of the corner of my eye about 25 yards from me in a small opening near the cover to my left. His head was down eating grass broadside to me but there was alot of branches in my shooting lane.
Really sneaky and slow I put down my backpack, got the trigger stick tripod ready, and snuck down the trail until I had a clear broadside shot. He dropped, and I put 3 more in him remembering the article on here about the fella who got attacked walking up to the bear assuming he was dead.
Anyways it's 2:15 am time for a shower and some sleep. Have a good day guys
