well i went out on the stand today. I was using the crit r' call nothing hapend. So i wait a few min. and get on the howler (i rememberd it was breding season and i thought i would try somthing of that sort) so i was howling for a wile (8-10 min) and i look across the feild (about 75 yards) and a coyote was standing there looking right at me, it kind scared me, but it reamaned looking at me wile i brought up the marlin .17 HMR, the coyote didn't move a bit, so i yanked the triger, and the safty was on so i swiched it off and got back on the yote who is still looking at me and TTKKKkOOOooooo (sound of the 17hmr)
and the coyote kinda ran to the side for 2-3 yards and disapeard into the woods... i mised... but i waited like 10 seconds and went over to see what i did well, all i got was a litle bit of hair but, it had just enough skin on it to hold the hairs together so all and all i got some hair and the knowlage that my howling is just fine and the coyotes are in town

sorry about all the miss spelled words and horible grammar but oh well, i had a great time

It is actually a Bollwevil Trap. They are placed at different places around a cotton field to let the state or the farmer get an idea of how many boll wevils there are in the area.Texas has a program in place trying to erradicate the bollwevil. Most of the ones in West Texas are florecent green and placed on a stick about 3' off the ground.

You’d think Texans would find counting them pretty easy if all the boll weevils there are florescent green and sitting on top of sticks. lol
