Western Rivers Predation Call

Is anyone else having this problem: My Call (reciever) is not responding to the remote quite often. I put a fresh battery in the remote and it still acts up. This plays hell on my timing!!
I tried to blame frigid weather last season or distance etc. but am ready to send it in, just when I will want it most.

I wanted to publicly thank Western Rivers and their tech, Brian for responding privately to me the day after this post. This call is awsome! Especially since I downloaded the new mp3's from their website. The problem seems to be the remote, it has been since it was new but I did not want to part with it and hoped the problem would just "go away". I am sending it in for prompt repacement.

They have a good product at a good price and great customer service to back it up.

I don't think they get the credit they deserve on these boards.

These are the folks who opened their sound library to all of us for free.

Chalk this one up as another public thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Monday I ordered a MP3 remote from Sportsman Guide and it is to arrive Thursday. I did a lot of research on electronic calls and settled on the Western Rivers. Their reputation, three year warranty and price swayed me. This will be my first electronic caller so it will diffently be a new toy for awhile...I will give the remote a good check over before taking it to the field.

I have just recently hunted with a friend that has a predation and can attest to how well it works. I work at Soprtsman's Warehouse and constantly get asked if we carry it. Unfortunatly we do not, but I will be purchasing one as soon as I return from Iraq. Great product and great price, just my 2 cent's.
God Bless America!

Bit the bullet and sent my unit in today. Antenna and Remote dissatisfaction which seems to be the common theme. Hated to send it in, Cat Season opened here Monday but I was getting some poor response from my remote and broke off the antenna. Will let you know how I make out. I agree with previous posts, this unit doesn't get adequate recognition. For the value, I can work with them until the remote / antenna issue is ironed out.
