Western Rivers Predation question

I just got a new Western Rivers Predation caller, and I have a few questions about it. I tried calling the manufacturer, but the repair guy was gone until Monday.

The remote on the call works great, but the ON and OFF button on the caller body does not work. I can turn it on and off with the remote. I guess it doesn't matter much as long as I don't lose the remote or let the remote battery get low.

Is this something that I should worry about or send it back for repair? I just got it yesterday, and I'll take it out tomorrow morning for a trial run to see how it sounds in the woods.

Thanks for any advice.

Remove speaker by pulling outward ! Once speaker is removed press the reset button ! Then try the on / off keys. You have to press & hold the off key till the LCD fades away! Any additional questions please call us at 800-967-0998>

Thanks

You should probably know that the off button on the remote pad does not really turn the caller "off" it merely "puts it to sleep". There is still a small drain on the battery if you turn it "off" with the keypad. This feature is so you can set it out and wait as long as you want to let things calm down before turning it on and calling. I believe it does use less power to sit around turned off by the remote than to leave it ready to play full on. Also, the battery seems at first to go dead quick but after a few times of running it down and charging it will amaze you how long it last. Good luck.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE,HOLD THE OFF BUTTON DOWN UNTIL THE RED LIGHT BLINKS TWICE AND YOU'LL SEE THE DISPLAY SHUT OFF. I DON'T THINK YOU CAN SHUT IT OFF COMPLETELY WITH THE REMOTE.
