What 22-250 brass?

Lok8ayote--

The problems that I've had with Hornady brass were:
Primer pockets too tight to enter a primer and others were loose. My 7MM brass necks were not square with the case. (If I rolled them across the table, the necks wobbled all over the place) FL sizing did little to help the issue. After I fireformed the brass most of the concetricity issues went away, but I wasted a lot of powder and bullets.I culled a lot of brass due to primer pocket issues and now wish that I had just sent the brass back to Hornady. My 204 brass just had primer pocket issues and the brass weights varied a LOT. It was hard to get a lot of brass in the same ballpark weight.

I started off with a box of cheapie white box Winchester 22-250 ammo in my 22-250, but when it came time to get serious I went with Nosler custom brass. This stuff has been great having purchased it now for 243, 204 rugers, and 22-250. I think it might be even better than the Lapua brass I bought for my 243.

I've had no good experience with new Winchester brass, and don't care for Federal either. Last couple bags of Remington, for both 204 as well as my 22 hornet were actually very good for the money. Hornady I've only used after reloading from factory stuff - but it has been acceptable.

For defect free, real tight to specs new brass though my vote would be for Nosler at this point.

I Lapua exclusively in my 6mmBR and in my 6.5-284 rifles. Great brass. I recently bought a couple of hundred pieces of Lapua brass for my super accurate 22-250. Kind of figured a super accurate rifle deserves the best. In reality, I can't see a real difference in the field between Lapua and Winchester while shooting p-dogs and calling coyotes because a 22-250 falls to pieces due to environmental conditions before the brass quality makes a whole lot of difference.

I'm with ackleyman your gonna loose alot and personally I like the silver winchester just cuz they are easy to find. Stay AWAY from anything Hornady haven't had any good things to say about their brass.
