What about this weapon?

You should try it, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. When I started shooting I bought Byron Ferguson's book "Become the Arrow" and it really helped me get started on the right foot. One great thing about a longbow is their simplicity and ease of shooting. When I target shoot with friends who use compounds, I can usually put 6 arrows in the target before they get 3. Just knock, draw and shoot. No realease, no sights, just you and the target.

And, with just a little bit of practice, you can shoot your longbow or recurve from the prone position too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

After 50 years of hunting with longbows, recurves and wheel bows, the sticks are still my prefered arrow flinger.

One thing about trying a long bow is; you don't try it, it trys you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have a PSE that is around 10 years old no fancy cams, or wood handles, with $100.00 glow in the dark sights, it weighs about 8 pounds and set at 60# pull, the bow has plain old wheels and pin sights. I have been shooting it for years and it shoots like a dream, I would not trade it for anyth.. wait what am I saying? I need to roll the change in my sons penny bank and get a real bow. If you guys know a sucker who wants to buy a very expensive old bow have them PM me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Congrats on the bow I hope you have alot of luck with it.
