What can you all tell me about the 7mm-08

If a .308 is a short action .30-06 then it would be more accurate to call a 7/08 a short action .280 or even 7mm Mauser.

The 7mm 08 is an amazing deer round. It's not as slow as the 308, and it's not as fast as a 243, but the 7mm bullets are superior when it comes to ballistic coefficient. It's a very accurate, low recoil cartridge that's very capable of killing deer out to 600 yards.

No idea:) but i have a 7/08 pistol and its fun. I haven't shot it in a while but mine and my buddies wife could hear us giggling from several bays away.

I am one of its biggest fans. It's the only caliber I have multiples in. My most recent is a Kimber Montana, and it's a very nice little package.

I have taken coyote, deer, elk, boar, aoudad and black bear using bullets from the 120 NBT to the 175 Hornady round nose.

With the same weight bullet in the same weight rifle not a lot of difference.
I have the creedmoor in a palma 30 inch and shoot 140s and a 7-08 with a 26 and shoot 162s. In this case the 7-08 has noticeably more recoil though still mild.
My 308 and 7-08 are about the same with the same weight bullet.
