I finally howled in a few coyotes the other night using the Foxpro. Not sure what ones worked OR if it was a combo OR just luck!

When & how do you use these sounds & why?? Might help us out VS. just guessing! OR, what coyote vocals mean in general?

Coyote Locator-this seems simple, but does it have another purpose during hunt?

Female Coyote Long Howls

Female Coyote Deep Howls-deep OR long, is is that big a difference? Why?

Female Coyote Challenge

Male Coyote Long Howl

Coyote Pair Yip Howls

Coyote Pup Distress

Coyote Death Cry

Coyote Male Barks

Coyote Male Challenge

Group yip howls/locator can be greetings and/or territorial announcement.

Long howls/interrogation howls are good at drawing coyotes in.

Challenge howls is a common term that is used alot that I think is a misnomer. I prefer like many to use the term threat bark howl. All the coyote is doing is saying hey, you are making me uncomfortable here, I dont like this. I have taken a few coyotes by answering their threat bark howls with some of my own,but most of the time they bug out unless you are in their core area and then sometimes they bug out anyway.

I have had luck playing the GYH if a coyote or group answers me. Especially if I am in their core area.

What are they really saying? Who the heck knows?

Hope this helps muddy the water. LOL.

I've read every thread on this subject over the last 3 years here on Predatormasters & it isn't much. Thanks for your input, it helps a lot.
