that works but winches have less pull the longer the rope is out. so if your reeeeally stuck having the cable out that far could leave ya stuck.

Yep that Gorilla Snot is worth the price. I put two gallons in my Rhino tires and I no longer even try to avoid Cactus or small Mesquite trees and I have never had a flat.

Sorry but jut the opposite is true. A smaller spool means more pull, unless you use a block.
 
gun rack, small fuel can, tow straps, winch, tools, a chainsaw comes in real handy (substitute w/ an ax or handsaw).
And don't forget the most important accessory.

It is just the nature of the newer Polaris Sportsman line. They mount the winch up higher than most of the others. Out where I live you can drive for many miles before seeing a tree, so the chance of being able to tie to a tree high enough to not pull the front end down is slim to none.

I have often thought of hooking my snatch block to the tie down point on the front and running cable thru that before anchoring.
