What do you do to feed the wife and kids?

traveling crane operator and part time rancher, times look look like they may get tough enough to start skinning yotes in central texas where fur not real good
 
I am a 21 year firefighter for a FD in the North Pierce County area of Washington State. I currently hold the rank of Station Captain. Gives me lots of time off including weekdays for huntin'. Love my job and helping the community as well.

Automotive body & paint tech for 18 years, mostly in supervisory positions. Finally worked my way into an adjuster/estimator position with a large insurance company. It's a lot easier work & I get to travel all over 9 counties in western MT (looking for new hunting ground the entire time!). The best part is getting to work outside instead of in a windowless body shop.
 
I supervise 12 Building Inspectors and Plans Examiners for a large suburb near Minneapolis. We're the guys everyone hates to see comming. With two kids in California getting a large chunk of my check, it's tough to hunt as much as I want to.

By night, I am a chauffeur, homework checker, and pee-wee football coach.
 
I worked refueling airplanes, construction, landscaping and a bunch of other jobs for many years. Got sick of using my back so I went to school and I'll graduate as a Doctor this May. I'll be a Doc for the Navy for a few years after that. Ultimate goal--be an orthopedic surgeon.

My wife does the real work though. She keeps the home running smoothly with four kids under four years old! I don't know how she does it, especially with newborn twins.
 
Been in IT for 15 years. Got tired of making everyone else rich, then based on clients feedback, started my own consulting firm. I'm still a tech that fixes stuff and sets up new equipment for networks etc. But I make the money now.

Spend as much time as possible hunting and also trying to get the Arkansas hunting laws changed.

I work for the Navajo Nation Government. Fleet Management, Parts Clerk for 10 plus years. Western Agency. We maintain over 400 vehicles, law enforcement, life support and regular departments. We are only one of five.

In my line of work you need full support from the family, law enforcment has a 75% divorce rate...scary. Were going on 9 years and still moving along strong. The two kids are the hardest work at 1 and 4. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif But I love them with all my heart and they both want to go hunting as soon as they see camo.

My wife is the glue that holds my world togather. Without her, I would be nothing. No offese to anyone, but I dont think words can describe what a Cop's wife is faced with. Weve been togather for almost 9 years and she is my life!!(Exept during hunting season, just kidding)
